Friendship for life and after…

I remember my days, of youth, of fun and frolic
I remember the days when morning was for friends,
Afternoons were with friends and
Nights spent planning what next with friends.
The dunes of sand shift places
And friendship too shifts places,
But the friends remain always in heart
However the time changes.
It is such a beautiful thought to be a youth again,
To spent time with friends,
Speak to them, taunt them and tease them
Have hearty laugh around the coolest joints!

Oh I’ll be damned if I think so!
Why can’t I have them with me now as older I grow?
Friendship is touted as a treasure, but is it?
I don’t want to treasure it
I want to cherish it and relish it.
Friendship tastes better
With growing time as does the wine;
The intoxicating wine and intoxicating friendship.

The imperfect days seems perfect then
Standing up for wrongs making them rights
Even when all hell breaks loose.
Making me feel young again, fun again
How great would it have been if we stayed together?
In disappointment and the sorrow
In happiness and cheer
For all the things you are my friends
Nothing less than the light that shines
In the beats of life and its ends
And ever after with me
Even across the doors of heaven.

MY THOUGHTS GO WILD

The thoughts are parting ways,
The thoughts, I own, like one and all,
It’s running away to the nature side,
I suppose, it is spell bounded indeed,
By beauty of nature which the god feeds
The splendor god created alone
And still he is working on and on…
Oh! What an awe inspiring caricature.

Deep in the woods there rests, in dark forests,
The novel creations of human thought.
Like a child, here the thoughts run wild;
How valiantly they, Wordsworth and Milton,
Caught there thoughts and wrote, I fail in that
As my thought run wild among the wild.

Dancing with the Winds

In green lustrous pastures
Where the joyous bird chirp
To sound of delight raptures
let me dance with the wind

Floeat me to snowclad hills
Where the valley’s silent deep
To sounds of silent thrills
Let me dance with the wind

Take me to where earth spins
Where the nomad land flies
To sound of swirling sand and spins
Let me dance with the wind

Blow me to a river brisk
Where the lady bends and turns
To sound of waves taking risk
Lets me dance with the wind

Take me to some far off land
Ful of beauty and shine
Where the wind hold my hand
And nature play the flute
Where the flowers are in bloom
And thrushes sings the chorus too
At such a place dear
Let me dance with the wind.

Arise and shine

Arise and shine

to glory and might

arise from the slumber

to a dawn bright.

With devotion, dedication and discipline,

bring down the mountains, and turn down tide,

with power, persevarance and patience

pen down histroy as a new bride.

With collection, correction and conservation,

work to conquer horizon far and wide,

with etiquette, ethics and elegance,

work that in you all take pride.

Voicing strength to surge and sour,

the mother beckons you to roar,

to enlighten one and all soul,

lets answer to her calls,

Arise and shine!

THE SUMMER IS BUSY

In the realms of the jungle
From the covert where I sat
I could see the trees chat,
The rays in trap, shadows chuckle,
Cuckoos coo, yet none to hear the coo,
Tuck-tek, tuck-tek the woodpecker pecks,
Chipmunks fight and make a hue,
Monkeys play and shape a wreck.

Far from the madding crowd,
An escape I had found,
From human bondage and morbid blues,
Among themselves said the jungle crew,
“The life’s not so quiet here.”
I acknowledge the ‘the summer is busy here’.

Welcome Summer!

Welcome summer!
Scorching sun plays the drummer,
Dry wind breathe the trumpet,
Earth sings the melancholic strain,
Burning grass tingles the bells,
And the cows moo in the saddest tone.

Trees burden with mangoes,
And fields shine with golden glow.
Koel sings and make a new vow,
Neem and champak flowers show,
Summer’s all beauty, fun and flow.
Welcome summer!

LEGACY OF FLOWER

Salutation to mother, she is!
Myriad and sublime she is!
All grace and beauty she is!
Ecstasy of joy and love she is!
Target of legions of brutish bee hordes,
Envious winds feel her and go,
Arrogant she stood eyes never low.

Its not ferns, but of petals
That I talk about.
Its not thorns and leaves, but of colors
Those eyes feel sound.
Its not tweeds and twigs, but of flowers
That I have found.
After all this splendid show
Her transient life is what I saw
Desirous Sun took her shades away,
Nasty and unkind wind made her sway,
Crushed by some on their way.

Bright and elegant on the first ray
Proud and mighty all mid-day
Dull and panting by evening light
Broke and naked in the night
It’s her life’s plight
Yet she doesn’t fight
Humbly accepts the laconic life
Leaves a legacy for others behind.
